MENOMINEE COUNTY - Jason Bradley Ives, 32, of Bark River, was arraigned in district court Wednesday on multiple charges for alleged home remodeling scams in Menominee County.

Ives, who is currently lodged in Delta County Jail on property scam charges, has been charged with two counts of being an unlicensed residential builder, two counts of larceny by conversion, and two counts of false pretenses for incidences occurring in Menominee County.

Sgt. Jean Belanger of the Michigan State Police Stephenson Post explained the charges stem from complaints filed in 2011. One incident involved work done in 2010, and the other, work done in 2011.

Cash bond has been set at $5,000, and a tentative court hearing involving the scams will be held Aug. 15, according to the Menominee County Prosecutor's Office.
