ESCANABA - Delta County Democrats have selected Mike Larrabee and Bob Aschbacher in the primary election to run for the two open Delta County Road Commission seats this November.

Mike Larrabee, who ran as an incumbent, has been with the road commission for eight years. "I just hope we can continue working with the goals we've set," he said upon hearing of his re-election. Larrabee received 1,607 votes.

Bob Aschbacher has not served on the road commission before. "I'm looking forward to being part of the team if I make it through the general election," he said. "I'm pretty confident with the numbers I received, especially for my first time running." Aschbacher received 1,610 votes.

Larrabee and Aschbacher beat out Peter Mark who received 890 votes.

Whether Larrabee and Aschbacher will hold the two Road Commission seats will be determined in the general election on Nov. 6. They will be challenged by Independent Tom Peterson.
