MOSINEE, Wis. - Arlene I. Kelley, 77, 806 Wisconsin St., Mosinee, Wis., died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, at Wausau Manor Nursing Home, Wis., under the care of Asera Care Hospice.
She was born April 30, 1935, in Gladstone, the daughter of the late Carl and Ina (Lindberg) Green. She married Gilbert Kelley on May 2, 1959, in Bay City, Mich. He preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 2011.
Arlene Kelley was a truly faithful servant of God. Arlene loved her family and her friends immensely. She enjoyed her church family, circle, and bridge group. Her friends were her treasures: Mabel, Henrietta, Joyce, Robin and many others.

She loved to watch the birds at her feeders, and flowers in her yard. Her knitting was well known in the family - she knit many sweaters for all the children and grandchildren. She was born at home and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She and her husband, Gilbert, raised two children; who both married and had two children of their own, giving Arlene and Gilbert four grandchildren whom they truly loved. She was very proud that all four grandchildren graduated, or are attending college. She was very well respected and loved by all that knew her.
Survivors include her two children, Paul (Jo Ellen) Kelley, Washington, Penn., and Susan (Dave) Schroepfer, Belvidere, Ill.; four grandchildren, Amber Kelley, Josh Kelley, Tim Schroepfer and Sarah Schroepfer; and a brother, Bill (Ruth) Green, Lexington, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at St. John Lutheran Church, 901 11th St., Mosinee, Wis. The Rev. Gloria Stubitsch will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Tuesday until time of services at the church.
Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone.
