Wiltzius earns doctoral degree
MADISON - Samuel Nicholas Wiltzius received his doctoral degree in pharmacy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison during commencement hooding ceremonies at the Wisconsin campus Memorial Union in May.
He completed his pre-pharmacy studies at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a chemistry major. While there, he was also member of the UW-Oshkosh Honors Program and the UWO Track and Field Team, throwing the hammer and weight for the Titans.
During the 2011-2012 school year, Sam completed clinical clerkship rotations in both the Mayo Clinic Health System and Marshfield Clinic System. He is a member of The Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin, The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, The American Pharmacists Association, and The National Community Pharmacists Association.
Having taken a position with Walgreens Pharmacy, Dr. Wiltzius will begin his practice in Marquette. He and his wife, Sarah, and first baby, William, currently reside in Gwinn.
Dr. Wiltzius is a 2005 graduate of Coleman High School and the grandson of Phyllis Boucher of Escanaba, and the son of Debbie (Boucher) Wiltzius and Dave Wiltzius of rural Coleman.
