Virginia ‘Ginny’ M. Pfeiff

WILSON - Virginia "Ginny" M. Pfeiff, 77, Wilson, passed away on Saturday July 28, 2012, at her home in Wilson with her loving family by her side.

She was born on March 3, 1935, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of the late Walter and Frances (Marshall) Johnson. On Sept. 17, 1955, she married John Pfeiff in Chicago, Ill.

Ginny was a member of St. John Neumann Church in Spalding, a 4-H leader for many years and worked as the postmaster in Wilson where she retired from. Ginny loved reading, gardening, crafting and going to movies with her friend, Irene. She also won many different ribbons over the years at the Menominee County Fair.

She is survived by her husband; four children, Debra (Glen) LaFave, Doreen (Kenneth "Mark") Bellmore, David (Christine) Pfeiff and Danette (Chris) Poquette; one brother, Bruce (Carol) Johnson; one sister, Joyce (Frank) Bauer; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. (CST) on Wednesday, Aug. 1, at the Allo Coolman Funeral Home in Spalding. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 6 p.m. (CST) on Wednesday at St. John Neumann Church with Fr. Michael Vichich officiating. Burial will follow Mass in the Spalding Township Cemetery.
