I've never felt the need to write an opinion or response to the editor before today, but with a few recent letters regarding Michigans new legal arial fireworks law, I finally saw the need.
This summer I've thoroughly enjoyed the chance to legally shoot off all sorts of fireworks that formerly would have invited a visit from the ATF. I've always tried to do so in a respectful manner to my neighbors, and am always concious of the fire danger conditions when doing so.
To me, in an age when personal freedom is limited by government at every turn, this has been a refreshing change. I'm sorry about the noise involved, and the danger of fire, but I'd like to remind the previous writers that many things, like snowmobiles, are noisy, dangerous, and irritating to ones neighbors, but are nevertheless very legal.
God bless America!
