GLADSTONE - Richard McKnight and the former Marilyn Bergeon were married 60 years ago on July 12, 1952, at St. Mels Catholic Church in Chicago. Standing with the couple were: Lorraine St. John, sister of the bride; Robert Bruce, brother-in-law of the bride; and Clara and Harold Moser, sister and brother-in-law of the groom.

Richard is retired but was employed at Harnischfeger for 13 years. He was also self-employed as owner of M&B Auto, Rampart Ambulance, and McKnight Transportation. He is a member of All Saints Church in Gladstone. Richard loves fishing and shrimping in Florida, and spending time at hunting camp with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Marilyn worked for Bell Telephone and was a driver for McKnight Transportation. She was also a homemaker, lovingly raising her family. Her hobbies include crocheting, doing crafts, and cooking and baking for her family.
