ESCANABA - Altruism and community service were the topics of the day at the recent Altrusa International of Escanaba's meeting. The primary purpose of the meeting was to perform installation of officers.
It's the melding of individual talents within the organization that allows for the conception, development and successful completion of programs by the international organization. After 95 years in existence, it's clear this organization has staying power and immeasurable worth to the community.
"Leading to a Better Community" - This is the driving force of Altrusa with the values of clarity, flexibility and inclusion in mind at all times. Proof is in action, though, and Altrusans have a way of making things happen. In fact, Altrusa is a powerhouse all its own, when it comes to getting things done as a community service club.
