Winners in the 1960 Kid's Fishing Contest sponsored by the Gladstone Recreation Department are shown in this pictured published in the Delta Reporter at the time. Identities were not included at the time, however, Recreation Department coordinator, Don Pfotenhauer and other members of the Gladstone community helped identify a few of the youngsters. They are: in front, from left, Peter McIntyre, unidentified, Bobby Richards, Tom Pfotenhauer, John Olson, and Pat Cole; back row as faces appear, Fred Malnor, Dan Gobert, unidentified, Jay Pepin, Gary LaPlant and unidentified. With 64 young fishermen participating, 68 fish were caught, Each child received a candy bar and the winners received ribbons.
