ESCANABA - Deborah K. Meckler, 50, of Escanaba passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2012, at the St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.
Deb was born Oct. 23, 1961, in Roaring Springs, Penn., the daughter of John and Helen (Houfman) Weyant.
On July 17, 1982, she was united in marriage to Richard Meckler. They lived in Sharpsville, Penn., until making their way to Escanaba in 2000. Deb enjoyed going on outings with the workers from Pathways, going down to Ludington Park and playing bingo.

Deb is survived by her daugher, Kellie (Peter) Hallesy of Calumet; three brothers, Dawn of California and Ken (Nora) and John (Ruth), both of Pennsylvania; one niece, Jamie Herline and two nephews, Jamie, Kenny and Josh Weyant and a special friend, LeAnn Bink from Pathways. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a sister, Brenda Morgan.
According to family wishes, cremation will take place and memorial services will be held at the convienence of the family. The family is being assisted by the Skradski Family Funeral Home in Escanaba.
