Eliason awarded highest honors

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Jeremy Eliason, son of Derrick Eliason of Bark River, was named with Highest Honors to the spring semester dean's list at Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minn. The dean's list includes full-time students with a grade point average (GPA) during the semester of 3.65 (out of 4.0) or higher.

Jeremy is pursuing a degree in Biblical Studies at Northwestern.

Highest honors are awarded to students with a GPA of 3.90-4.0.

Local student earns academic honors

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Escanaba student Casey Sullivan has been honored at Lipscomb University for academic achievement during the spring semester 2012.

Casey, a Fred J. Page High School graduate and biology and mathematics major, has been placed on the Honor Roll. At the end of each semester, students who make perfect grades for the semester while taking at least 12 credit hours are named to the Provost's List. Students who achieve a grade average of 3.5 to 3.99 are named to the Honor Roll.

Students awarded UW-Green Bay honors

GREEN BAY - Four area students have received academic honors for the spring semester 2012 at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

Students who earn a 4.0 gradepoint average, which represents all "A" grades, receive highest honors. High honors go to those earning 3.99 to 3.75 gradepoint averages. Honors are given to students earning 3.74 to 3.50 gradepoint averages.

The students are: Jiaqi Li of Bark River (Honors), Adriene Schiavo of Menominee (Honors), Bethany Williams of Stephenson (Highest Honors), and Nancy Getzloff of Wilson (High Honors).

Whitmer named to Hillsdale dean's list

HILLSDALE, Mich. - Emily Whitmer, a music major at Hillsdale College, was named to the Dean's List for the 2012 spring semester.

Emily is the daughter of Mary and Gary Whitmer of Gladstone and is a 2010 graduate of Gladstone High School.
