WILSON - James Alexander Bishop, 57, of Wilson, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at his home with cancer. James was born in Manjimup, Australia, on March 1, 1955, the son of James and Joyce (Elt) Bishop.
James married Rose Mary (Sandstrom) Blahnik on March 14, 1999, in Scarburro, West Australia.
He was employed as a scaffold rigger while in Australia. He has lived in the Wilson area for the past 13 years and was employed at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers as a certified nurses assistant. He loved to garden, read, visit with people and he traveled to 36 countries.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Mary of Wilson; three stepchildren, Crystal Blahnik of Reno, Nev., William Blahnik of Escanaba, Heather Blahnik of San Diego, Calif.; along with one brother and three sisters.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
In keeping with Jim's wishes there will be no services. The Crawford Funeral Homes assisted the Bishop family with arrangements.
