WILSON - Arlene L. Janofski, 83, of Wilson, passed away at her home on Thursday, July 12, 2012, surrounded by her family following a lengthy illness. Arlene Laura DeGrave was born to the late Edward and Laura Wery DeGrave on July 4, 1929, in Gourley Township, Mich.
On Feb. 8, 1947, Arlene married Fred Janofski in Escanaba. Arlene was a devoted and loving mother and wife.
She worked for Robinson Furniture Factory for 27 years retiring as supervisor of the sewing department in December 1995.

Arlene was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church of Nadeau and St. Anne's Society. Some of her interests include gardening, growing flowers, cooking, bird watching, and watching the Detroit Tigers with her husband Fred. Her real passions in life were saved for her family. Arlene was a cancer survivor.
Survivors include her husband, Fred of Wilson; four daughters, Donna (Len) Skrobiak of Bark River, Karen (Mike) Bagladi of Hudsonville, Mich., Chris (Jeff) Stage of Nadeau, Nancy Benson (special friend, Mike Linder) of Carney; three sons, Fred Jr. (Annette) of Kalamazoo, Mich., Roger of Wilson, and John (Kelly) of Carney; 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Harold (Geraldine) DeGrave of Bark River, Tom (Judy) DeGrave of Wilson, one sister, Pearl Larson of Beaver Dam, Wis.
Arlene was preceded in death by infant daughter, Diane; sisters, Evelyn Charlier, Ethel Wilbur; and brother, Leonard DeGrave.
Friends may call Sunday, July 15, after 4 p.m. (CDT) at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home with parish prayers at 7 p.m. followed by the praying of the rosary. Visitation will continue Monday, July 16, at St. Bruno Catholic Church in Nadeau from 10 a.m. (CDT) until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Father Emmett Norden officiating.
Burial to follow in Nadeau Township Cemetery.
