CEDAR RIVER - Beverly Jane Fountain, 57, of Cedar River, lost her courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, July 10, 2012. Bev was born on Feb. 7, 1955, in Grand Rapids, Mich., to the late Bernard and Alberta (Bonini) St. Andre.
On June 28, 1975, Bev married Dale Fountain in Grand Rapids, Mich. Dale preceded her in death on June 13, 2002.
Bev and Dale moved several times before building their home in Cedar River. Bev was very active in her community, serving as assistant fire chief and on the township board in Cedarville Township.

She also volunteered for many years with 4-H.
Survivors include her children, Rachel (Jason) Hess of Republic, and Benjamin (Bryanne) Fountain of Marinette, Wis.; grandchildren, Isabella and Joseph Hess and Jonnathan and Gabryelle Fountain; two sisters, Claudia Perry-St. Andre of Charlotte, Mich. and Fran St. Andre of Hudsonville, Mich.; brother, Bernie (Doris) St. Andre of Cedar Springs, Mich.; her in-laws, Oren and Arlis Fountain of Pickford, Mich.; brother-in-law, Vern Fountain; many nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
Bev was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Blaszczyk and Karen Carter; brother-in-law, Larry Blaszczyk; niece, Sarah Fountain-Garcia; and nephew, Andrew Fountain.
In keeping with Bev's wishes no formal services will be held. Her family will be celebrating her life on July 29 at the family home in Cedar River from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. for all family and friends to pay respects and celebrate her life. Anderson Diehm Funeral Home, Stephenson, is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cedarville Township Fire Department.
