Merlin Lanaville

HUDSON, N.C. - Merlin Lanaville, of 121 Whispering Pines Drive, Hudson, N.C., passed from his home into Heaven July 6, 2012. He was born Nov. 13, 1930, in Menominee County, Mich., to David and Celina Wery Lanaville. He attended Michigan School for the Deaf beginning in 1935. He was a resident of this city until 1964.

He married Mary Terrian and her two children in 1966. He retired from GM Oldsmobile in 1989 and retired to NC in 1995.

Mary; daughter, Merlynn of Bull Head City, Ariz. her husband, Donald Randall Jr. and their children, Charlotte and Donald III; Jacqui Guenette Benson of Lansing, Mich. and her children, Michelle and Michael; Edward and his wife, Teri of Conover, N.C. and their children, Morgan, Edward Jr., Mike, Makenze and Resse; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Bilha; brother, Mose and wife, Carol of Goldsboro, N.C.; and Antone Escanaba, survive him.

Burial will be at Laurel Haven Cemetery Lenoir, N.C., Thursday, July 12, at 10 a.m.
