CARNEY - Lorraine P. Zimmerman, 87 of Carney, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2012, at the Luther Home in Marinette, Wis. The former Lorraine Arkens was born on Oct. 26, 1924, in Harris to the late Zery and Ida (Swille) Arkens.
On June 3, 1947, Lorraine married Richard Wotruba in Bark River. Richard preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 1969. On March 20, 1976, Lorraine married Lee Zimmerman.
Lorraine worked as a CNA at Pinecrest and later worked at Robinson Manufacturing. Lorraine was an avid outdoors woman who enjoyed deer, bear and turkey hunting, along with fishing. Lorraine often bragged about having her picture taken with more dead animals than any other woman.

She also enjoyed gardening and canning. Lorraine was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Lee Zimmerman of Carney; her children, Pat (Arlene) Wotruba of Nadeau, Judy Wotruba of Green Bay, Wis., Tom (Debbie) Wotruba of Carney, Sandy (Bruce) Szapa of Carney, Ann (Steve) Nantelle of Marion, Wis., Bill (Margaret) Wotruba of White Fish Bay, Wis., and Tina (Jim) Schetter of Carney; 21 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; stepsons, Lee F. Zimmerman of Daggett, Jim Zimmerman of Daggett, and Jack Zimmerman of Iron Mountain; and eight step-grandchildren.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Lisa Schetter and four sisters.
Family and friends may call at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home, Stephenson on Sunday, July 8, 2012, after 4 p.m. (CDT) with Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. (CDT). Visitation will continue on Monday, July 9, 2012, at St. Bruno Catholic Church in Nadeau from 10 a.m. (CDT) until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. (CDT). Father Emmett Norden officiating.
Burial will be in Nadeau Township Cemetery.
