ESCANABA - Three suspects accused of stealing guns and scrap metal items from an Escanaba Township residence last month were recently bound over from district court to circuit court where they will enter a plea or go to trial.
Ashley Marie Munroe, 21, of 4397 18th Road, Escanaba, Daniel Robert Derouin, 19, and Joseph Jonathan Kossow, 20, both of 4447 26th Road in Gladstone, were each arrested on four felonies in connection with an alleged breaking and entering at a residence on J Road on June 12.
Each is charged with the following: one count of second-degree home invasion which carries a maximum sentencing of 15 years in prison and a $3,000 fine; and three counts of receiving and stealing stolen firearms, each punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
The weapons allegedly taken were a rifle, a shotgun, and a pistol, according to the investigating agency, the Delta County Sheriff Department, which has recovered the stolen property.
Munroe, Derouin and Kossow all remain lodged in the county jail, each in lieu of a $15,000 cash bond.
Each will be scheduled for a pretrial conference hearing in circuit court.
Investigation into the suspects is on-going, according to sheriff officials.
