EDITOR:
The Michigan Legislation has passed over 96 percent of recent bills labeling them "immediate effect." This practice is contrary to the State Constitution which, with few exceptions, mandates a 60-day review period.
If lawmakers themselves have no respect for the law, where does that leave us? We elected these people to represent us; does this practice have any resemblance to doing a good job?
