Amy L. Bohatkiewicz

TWIN LAKES, Wis. - Amy L. Bohatkiewicz, 56, of Twin Lakes, Wis., passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012, at her home, after a valiant six month battle with cancer. She was born Jan. 6, 1956, in Escanaba, the daughter of the late Harold and Helen (Bailey) Dickerson, living in Kenosha, Wis. for many years before settling in Twin Lakes in 2002. She was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Church, Twin Lakes, and enjoyed decorating, and being with her family and friends. Amy owned and operated Caring Companions, a home healthcare business that enabled her to take care of others and share her love. Amy was always a caring person, who would give all of herself to others to make their world better. On Oct. 13, 2001, she married Ronald Bohatkiewicz in Sturtevant, Wis.

Survivors include her loving husband, Ron; loving son, Tanner; siblings, Harold (Linda) Dickerson of Rock, Marie Silich of Escanaba, Mike (Cindy) Dickerson of Nahma, Sherry Valiquette of Escanaba, David "Gus" (Denise) Dickerson of Escanaba, Laura (Mike) Mayrand Escanaba, and Iva (Jim) Williams of Toledo, Ohio; in-laws, Frank Bohatkiewicz of Salem, Wis., Barb Fonk of Trevor, Wis., Benjamin of Salem, Wis., Donald (Nancy) of Bristol, Kim (Tom) Tylkowski of Trevor, Karen Bohatkiewicz of Salem, Carl (Shannon) Kraft of Salem, and Lee (Renee) Kraft of Twin Lakes, Wis.; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, relatives and many dear friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Terry and Rick.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 29, at the Strang Funeral Home Of Antioch 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch, IL 60002. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Paris, Wis. Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
