WILSON - Casimira "Cassie" Bellefeuil, 90, N17086 Bellefeuil D03 Lane, Wilson, passed away early Monday morning, June 25, 2012, at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers.
She was born on May 12, 1922, in Silver City, N.M., daughter of Enrique and Carlota (Pena) Catano. Cassie attended Our Divine Savior Catholic School in Los Angeles, Calif.
Cassie served during World War II in the U.S. Army from Aug. 9, 1943, until her honorable discharge as a corporal in 1945. She was awarded the World War II Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal and WAAC Service Ribbon.

On April 20, 1946, Cassie married Norbert E. Bellefeuil at St. Francis Xavier Church in Spalding.
She was a very devoted Catholic and loved saying her rosary daily. Cassie was also a member of the St. Anne's Society of St. John Neumann Catholic Church
Cassie was involved with the American Legion Auxiliary, Tony Rivard Post 224 of Powers, and a life member of the D.A.V. Chapter 24 of Escanaba.
Among survivors include her husband, Norbert; sister, Margaret (Fred) Brennan, Los Angeles, Calif.; brother-in-law, Raymond Bellefeuil of Escanaba; sister in law, June (Edmond) Bouty of Spalding, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Henry Contano Jr. and William Contano; sisters and brothers-in-law, May (Jim) Sloan, Harvey (Cathleen) Bellefeuil, Joyce (Willard Bero), William Bellefeuil (Phillip) Labre, and Kenneth (Julaine) Bellefeuil.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 27, from 1 to 3 p.m. (CDT) at St. John Neumann Church in Spalding. St. Anne's Society Rosary will be at 2 p.m. with the funeral mass to follow at 3 p.m. (CDT) with Rev. Mike Vichich officiating.
Military rites will be held by Tony Rivard Post 224 at the Spalding Township Cemetery following the funeral mass. A luncheon will follow at St. John Neumann Church hall. The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Bellefeuil family.
