LONG ISLAND, N.Y. - Charles "Charlie" Mileski, son of Joe and Pam Mileski of Escanaba, graduated on May 20 from Hofstra University's School of Law, located on Long Island, N.Y.
Mileski graduated first in his class of 364 students and was presented with the "Maurice A. Dean Award" for his achievement and academic excellence. He also received a "Citation of Excellence in Property Law."
While at law school, Mileski also worked for the Law Review, and will have an article published later this month which explores the need for reform in the hiring of the disabled.
He is presently preparing to sit for the New York State Bar Examination.
At the beginning of November, Mileski will begin working for a law firm in Manhatten where he will specialize in real estate law. He will also reside in Manhattan.
Mileski graduated from Escanaba Area High School in 2005 and received his bachelor's degree in political science in 2009 from George Washington University in Washington D.C.
Mileski's parents, as well as brothers, Andy and Peter, where able to attend the graduation program, along with long-time family friend, Bruce Hansen from Escanaba.
