TERRE BONNE, Ore. - Duane W. Streeter, Jr., 53, of Terre Bonne, Ore., died on June 20, 2012, at the Science University Hospital in Portland, Ore.
He was born Nov. 4, 1958, in Manistique, the son of Duane and Fern (Talkowski) Streeter, Sr. and attended schools in Germfask and Manistique. He was a graduate of Manistique High School with the Class of 1976.
On Nov. 12, 1988, he married the former Desiree Otter in Germfask and they made their home in Terre Bonne, Ore.
Duane has resided in Oregon for 33 years and was employed as a carpenter in the building/construction industry.
He was an avid outdoorsman, thoroughly enjoying hunting and fishing.
Duane is survived by his wife, Desiree Streeter of Terre Bonne, Ore.; stepson, Geoffrey (Rhonda) Gibor of Portland, Ore.; grandson, Jordan Gibor of Portland; parents, Duane and Fern Streeter, Sr. of Germfask; sister, Tammy (Jeff) George of Gladstone; brothers, Rocky (Valerie) Streeter of Curtis, John (Kim) Streeter of Germfask and Roger (Heidi) Streeter of Shingleton; along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 3-4 p.m., Saturday, June 23, 2012, at the Germfask Mennonite Church in Germfask. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m., at the church, with Pastor J.D. Livermore, Jr. officiating. Refreshments will follow at the Germfask Community Center.
