ESCANABA - Nearly 20 incidents of vehicles being damaged have been reported to Escanaba Public Safety in the last few days. It is uncertain if all the cases are related.
On Monday, a motorist reported a vehicle had its windshield and headlight smashed while parked on the 300 block of North 14th Street.
In a 10-by-11-block area stretching from 17th Street South to 6th Street South and from 3rd Avenue North to 7th Avenue South, a dozen malicious destruction of vehicle incidents were reported Tuesday through Wednesday morning, said police.
On Tuesday, cars were reported to have been spray-painted while parked on the 900 block of 4th Avenue South.
On Wednesday, car owners reported 11 vehicles were damaged, including smashed windshields, windows and mirrors.
Some additional incidents were reported into the early evening.
