She was born Nov. 16, 1924, in Crystal Falls, daughter of the late Clarence and Mildred (Payne) Stacy. Ruth was a lifelong resident of Crystal Falls and, as a member of the Class of 1943, took pride in earning her high school diploma after she had raised her family. She married Albert J. Makuck on May 11, 1943. He preceded her in death on July 17, 1985.
Ruth enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing cards, bingo, listening to music, working crosswords/word searches and spending time with her family and friends. She loved sports and was a faithful fan and follower of the Forest Park Trojans, Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions.

Ruth brought much laughter and joy to others with her quick wit, sense of humor, storytelling, and harmless pranks.
