RAPID RIVER - Linda L. Woodward, 71, of 9074 LL Road, Rapid River (Nahma), died June 15, 2012, at the Schoolcraft Medical Care Facility in Manistique.
She was born March 20, 1941, in Grand Ledge, Mich., the daughter of Forrest and Ruth (Dodson) Barnes and attended schools in the Lansing area.
On Feb. 27, 1965, the former Linda L. Barnes married Gary L. Woodward in Lansing. They spent most of their lives in Edmore, Mich., and moved to Nahma on July 6, 2006.
Linda was a homemaker who enjoyed baking and sewing. She also liked going to bingo and watching TV game shows.
Linda is survived by her husband, Gary "Woody" Woodward of Nahma; sons, Duane (Kendra) Woodward of Grayling and Bryan (Lynn) Woodward of Crystal; daughter, Kim (Paul) Faber of Rosebush; 10 grandchildren; sister, Lana Campos of Defuniak Springs, Fla.; special cousin, Jerry Barnes; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Clara Whitford; and a brother, Mike Barnes.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the McBride Cemetery in McBride, Mich.
