ESCANABA - The Bay de Noc Kennel Club held dog obedience graduation in late May and a Labrador retriever named "Harley," owned by Colleen Owens, took first-place honors. Placing second was Kathy Nardi's golden retriever, "Remy." Third and fourth-place honors went to "Mylie," a hound mix owned by Rachael Johnson, and "Bruno," a rottweiler/Australian shepherd mix belonging to Randy and Kate Stine.
Other graduates were: Wendy Derouin and Australian shepherd mix, "Lily;" Judy Anderson and Labrador retriever, "Winston;" Eric Bessonen and German short-haired pointer, "Heidi;" Robert and Judy Westerlund and shepherd husky mix, "Ramsey;" Debbie Kuehl and border collie, "Milo;" Jody Bugay and morkie, "Vinny;" Ruth O'Toole and Tibetan terrier, "Dugan;" and Loretta Boucher and golden retriever, "Lucy Lu."
