RAPID RIVER - Dorothy A. "Dot" Bosworth, 93, of Rapid River, died June 9, 2012, at Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba. She was born Feb. 3, 1919, in Gladstone the daughter of William and Tena (Anderson) Marshall and was a 1937 graduate of Gladstone High School.
Following graduation, she was employed in a comb factory in Leominster, Mass. During World War II she was a supervisor in the Army Medical Supply Div. Of the Surgeon Generals Office, Washington D.C.
The former Dorothy Adeline Marshall married Henry B. Bosworth of Claire, Mich. April 17, 1945, in Washington D.C. where they were both employed.

Dorothy was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Stonington. She enjoyed traveling to Florida where they lived six months each year. While there, she taught 40 senior citizens in daily exercise classes until she reached 88. She excelled in arts and crafts and spent many happy hours outdoors enjoying Mother Nature.
Survivors include her husband, Henry; several nieces and nephews and sisters-in-law, Kate and Bernice Marshall.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mildred (Paul) DuRoy of Gladstone and Lucille (Cliff) Mott of Manistique; and her brothers, James Marshall of Washington and Gordon Marshall of Gladstone.
Dorothy's family will receive friends on Saturday, June 16, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Dorothy A. Bosworth will follow visiting hours at 4 p.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone with Diane Cloutier Srutowski LLM of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Stonington officiating. Luncheon will follow at the First Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in Gladstone.
Dorothy will be laid to rest in the Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone.
