Tracy J. Royer

FREEDOM, Wis. - Tracy J. Royer, 46, of Freedom, Wis., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 7, 2012. He was born April 14, 1966, in Escanaba, Mich., and was the son of Jane (Winkler) and Eugene Royer Sr., of Perkins, Mich.

Tracy was the owner and operator of Progressive Homes for 22 years and was proud to have recently earned Graduate Master Builder status. He was an active member of the local, state, and national Home Builder's Associations, serving as president of the Fox Valley Home Builder's Association from 2000 to 2001; he was also named VHBA Builder of the Year in 2002.

He was a devoted husband, father, and son. Tracy enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and his beloved Rotties. He was passionate about traveling and loved his scuba diving trips. His constant smile, vivacious personality, wonderful sense of humor and endless generosity will be missed.

Tracy is survived by his wife, Susan (Kalishek); sons, Jacob (Brittany Schneider) and Taylor; his mother, Jane Royer; siblings, Steve (Janet) Royer, Tim (Robin) Royer, Lynnette Royer, Terry (Susan) Royer, Mark (Teri) Royer, Bonnie Homsey, Eugene (Rita) Royer Jr., Patricia (Joe) Bolone; along with his father-in-law, Everett Kalishek, Becky (Ben) Sherk, Dave (Tara) Kalishek, Jim (Tammy) Kalishek, Dean Kalishek, Mike (Rebecca) Kalishek, Jennifer Kalishek, Dan Kalishek and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tracy was preceded in death by his father Eugene Royer Sr. and his mother-in-law, Genie Kalishek.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, at the Appleton Alliance Church 2693 W. Grand Chute Blvd., Appleton. The funeral service celebrating the life of Tracy J. Royer will be held at 1 p.m. with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in Tracy's name and may be directed to the funeral home.
