Support for treasurer candidate

June 11, 2012

EDITOR:

I have had the privilege of working and interacting with Rick Micheau on so many occasions in our local Eagles Lodge. He has been a proven and well-recognized leader in our organization over the past several years, having well served us as our treasurer and recently as our trustee chairman.

As lodge president, I have remarked frequently how Rick has been able to provide all members with a variety of needed perspectives on issues, to take available opportunities to confer with all our officers where changes and decisions would require needed action, and to so well communicate that significant sense of "working with all of our members" rather than the contrary.

His strong attitude of fiscal responsibility and accountability regarding the financial realities of today's situation as a non-profit lodge is unsurpassed by any other members of our lodge. He has definitely demonstrated outstanding skills in accounting, computer applications, organizational necessities and creativity, communications, objectively perceiving issues, and offering solutions to problems.

Rick has taken concerns and opinions from different members and has advantageously broken "the line of command" in terms of responding immediately and positively to these individuals.

With fiscal constraints being a priority criterion in making so many of our local decisions, Rick has been a much needed force in achieving change and new directions for our lodge - all reasons to support Rick Micheau for Delta County treasurer at this coming fall election.
