GLADSTONE - The Gladstone High School Chapter of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispnica (Spanish Honor Society) held its new member induction ceremony on May 15 at Ferdinand's Mexican Restaurant & Cantina in Escanaba.

The occasion included the induction ceremony, a Mexican nacho supreme buffet dinner, and musical entertainment by GHS Spanish III/IV students who sang the Spanish songs "De colores" ("Of Colors") and "A la nanita nana" ("Grandma's Lullabye").

To become a member of the Spanish Honor Society, a student must have completed at least three semesters of Spanish with an honors average (3.0 or better) and have shown and proven a deep interest in the Spanish language and culture.
