Vivian I. Lewis

Vivian worked at Schiltz Brewery during World War II. She also was employed at Beck's Grocery Store in Escanaba, Northlands Hotel in Marquette, and owned and operated Coast to Coast Store in Ishpeming with her husband, Don, for about 20 years.

She was a member of St. Anne's Church.

Vivian was an accomplished cook and baker, always in her kitchen. She loved to can fruits and vegetables and canned just about everything that her husband, Don, grew in his garden!

She loved to travel and did so whenever she could. She loved music, crafts and enjoyed a good joke or funny story, but most of all, loved being with her family; nothing pleased her more than being surrounded by her loved ones. She will be greatly missed.

Among her survivors include her four children, Judy Lake of Escanaba, Larry (Pam) Lewis of Waterford, Wis., Donna (Pete) Rasmussen of Appleton, Wis., and Nancy Lewis of Escanaba; three grandchildren, Julie Forsberg of Escanaba, Adam Lewis of Burlington, Wis. and Travis Lewis of Waterford, Wis.; two great-grandchildren, Marissa Noble and Steven Noble of Escanaba. She is also survived by her sister, Doris Sabor of Escanaba; brother-in-law, Leonard Arrowood of Escanaba; and many nieces and nephews.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald in 1991; her sister and brother-in-law, Genevieve (Joe) Powers; and sister, Dora Arrowood.

Visitation will be on Saturday, June 9, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Escanaba with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at noon at St. Anne's Church with Rev. Fran DeGroot officiating. A meal will follow in the church hall.

Entombment will be in the Gardens of Rest Mausoleum.

The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Lewis family.
