Airborne training
Elizabeth (Smith) Becker of Naples, Fla., pins U.S. Army Airborne wings on her son, 2LT Bradley D. Becker, in an Airborne graduation ceremony held on May 18 at Fort Benning, Ga. 2LT Becker had just completed three weeks of intensive airborne training culminating in five jumps from a C-130 aircraft. Elizabeth Becker is the wife of Kenneth T. Becker, both former residents of Gladstone. 2LT Becker's grandparents are former Gladstone residents George and Donna Becker, and Robert and Janet Smith, also former Gladstone residents. 2LT Becker is awaiting further training at Fort Benning prior to transferring to the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, Texas. He is a graduate of Florida State University.
