TAMPA, Fla. - Jane P. Rosemurgy passed away on May 2, 2012, in Tampa, Fla.
Jane was born in Milwaukee, attended school in Des Plains, Ill., and attended the University of Wisconsin, where Jane was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and where she met Percy Rosemurgy. They were married in 1940, and had five children, all of whom survive.
Percy and Jane moved to Escanaba in 1949, and Percy owned and operated Northern Motor Company, while Jane operated their home and raised their children. Jane was an avid reader and bridge player, enjoyed weaving, entertaining in her home, dancing, and oversaw the home and family activities. She lived in Escanaba and Boca Raton, Fla., until recent years, when she moved to Tampa, Fla.
Percy Rosemurgy died in 1994, and at that time they had been married for 54 years.
Jane is survived by her children, Patti (Larry) Juul of Iron Mountain, Robert (Lynn) of Escanaba, James (Deanna) of Boca Raton, Fla, Cilla (Randall) Harris of Columbus, Ohio, and Alex (Kathy) of Tampa, Fla. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Jane will return to Escanaba to be interred with Percy at the Lakeview Cemetery.
