DAGGETT - Janice Ann Nelson, 70 of Daggett, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012, at home. The former Janice LaMarch was born on Jan. 26, 1942, in Escanaba, to the late Homer and Alice (Peppin) LaMarch.
On June 10, 1960, Janice married John Nelson in Escanaba. John preceded her in death on April 11, 2010.
Janice worked as a bank teller at Wachovia Bank. She enjoyed golfing, flower gardening, crafts and decorating, but spending time with her grandchildren is what Janice loved most. Janice was a friend of Bethlehem Covenant Church and Precious Blood Catholic Church.

Survivors include her children, David (Ivette) of Palm Dale, Calif., Rick (Lisa) of Flemming, Ky., Alan (Angel) of Daggett, Pam (Bill) Wolfe of Ocala, Fla. and Dennis (Raina) of St Pete, Fla.; grandchildren, Kassy, Demmoris, Travis, Alicia, Chrissy, Anthony, Justin, Kassy, Nicky, Hunter and Breana; great-grandson, Bradyn; sisters: Della (George) Willa, Linda (Emil) LaFave, Deborah (Charles) Kinsaul, Laurine (James) Hopson and Alice "Micki" (Mark) Spry; brothers, Maurice (Jo) LaMarch and Gerald "Buck" (Debby) LaMarch.
Janice was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia McMartin.
Family and friends may call at Bethlehem Covenant Church on Monday, May 7, 2012, from 10 a.m. (CST) until time of Funeral Service at noon (CST). Pastor Andrew Stonina officiating.
Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Schaffer on Tuesday at 1 p.m. CST.
