ROANOKE, Va. - Juanita M. (Soderman) Pearson, 88, died Monday, March 19, 2012, in Roanoke, Va.
Born March 18, 1924, in Gladstone, Mrs. Pearson was the daughter of J. William and Hilma (Osterholm) Soderman. She graduated from Gladstone High School in 1942, and moved to Washington, D.C., the following week to work at the Pentagon. She married Ellsworth C. Pearson at First Lutheran Church in Gladstone on June 12, 1948. Mrs. Pearson lived in Bethesda, Md. from 1953 until 2008 when she relocated to Roanoke, Va., near her daughter.
Mrs. Pearson was predeceased by her husband in 1964 and her sister, Dolores A. Soderman of Gladstone in 1990.
She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Susan and Bob Touhsaent of Fairport, N.Y.; Judy and Dave Price of Blue Ridge, Va.; two grandsons; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
Graveside services will be held at Arlington National Ceremony, where she will be buried with her husband, at a future date.
