BARK RIVER - Robert J. "Bob" O'Connor, 72, 5883 F Rd, Bark River, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012, at his home following a brief illness with his family by his side.
He was born on June 29, 1939, in Jackson, Kentucky, son of James and Ollie May (Fischer) O'Connor.
Bob served in the U.S. Army until his honorable discharge in 1964.

On May 31, 1963, Robert O'Connor married JoAnn McClellan. She preceded him in death on Dec. 15, 2007.
Bob was employed with the Michigan Department of Transportation for 23 years before retiring in 1997.
Among his survivors include four children, Bobbi Jo (Robert) Taylor of Green Bay, Wis., Jim (Sandi) O'Connor and Ray (Debra) O'Connor of Bark River and Bobby (Debrea) Dipert of Redmont, S.C.; grandchildren, Kyle, Gabrielle, Mason, Brianna, Marissa, Samuel, Charlie, Colton, Jennifer, Caitlinn and Hillary.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, JoAnn; and sister, Linda.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
