Judith Irene ‘Judy’ (Eagle) Moreau

GLADSTONE - Judith Irene "Judy" (Eagle) Moreau, 70, of 6246 27.5 Road, Gladstone, passed away peacefully following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on Tuesday afternoon April 10, 2012, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Judith was born July 7, 1941, in Trout Lake, Mich., the daughter of Ralph and Irene (Lucier) Eagle. She was raised in Gladstone where she was a 1960 graduate of Gladstone High School. Following graduation, Judy worked for the Clairmont Transfer Company until the arrival of her children. In 1986, she returned to work in the insurance industry with Hupy Insurance Agency in Gladstone until her retirement in 2007 from Northern Insurance Agency.

Judy enjoyed many hobbies, which included making quilts for First Lutheran Church that benefited many people. She loved baking, especially specialty cakes. She also enjoyed camping. Judy was always the "go to" person for all of their family ancestry questions.

In addition to her husband of 50 years, Calvin; survivors include her children, Monica Moreau, Shari (Brian) Jackson, Neil Moreau; grandchildren, Liam and Norah Jackson, all of Green Bay, Wis.; mother, Irene Eagle of Rapid River; brothers and sisters, Richard (Judy) Eagle, Pat (Dwain) Valiquette, David (Doris) Eagle, Barbara Harris, Jean Johnson, Sue (Jerry) Guindon, Alice Eagle; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sandy (Mack) Sullivan, Kay Moreau, Laurie (John) Lippens, Chuck (Emily) Moreau; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Judy was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Eagle; her mother and father-in-law, Mabel and Ken Moreau; and her brother-in-law, Randall Moreau.

Judy's family will receive friends on Saturday, April 14, from 9 to 11:15 a.m. at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at noon at the St. Joseph Church in Perkins with Rev. Fr. Jacek Wtyklo officiating. Luncheon will follow in the St. Joseph Church Parish Hall.

Burial will follow luncheon in the Perkins Cemetery.
