Escanaba Area High School Class of 2013 seniors and parents were recently hard at work preparing pasties for the annual fund-raiser. From front to back, Megan Thoma, Lori LaMarch, and Julie McCarthy work with the dough of the pasties. The sale is used to raise funds for the alcohol-free senior all-night party, and went above and beyond this year by pre-selling a record breaking 7,000 pasties. Atotal of approximately 7,780 pasties were made and sold altogether. The average amount sold over the past 20 years has been only around 5,000 pasties. The total sale netted a profit of over $15,000 for the class.
