ESCANABA - The Bay De Noc Choral Society will be presenting its spring concert on Sunday, April 15. The concert will take place at Bethany Lutheran Church 202 S. 11th Street in Escanaba at 1:30 in the afternoon.
Concert goers will enjoy two selections of music. On the first half of the concert, the singers will perform the popular Mozart's "Requiem." The second part of the concert will feature Robert Ray's very contemporary "Gospel Mass."
Ann Wood is the director of the Choral Society and John Ignatowski will accompany the group on the piano and organ.

Rehearsals are underway at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Escanaba as members of the Bay de Noc Choral Society prepare for their upcoming spring concert. The concert, which will take place Sunday, April 15, at 1:30 p.m., will feature Mozart’s “Requiem” in the first half followed by Robert Ray’s “Gospel Mass.”
Soloists for the concert include Tom Brayak, Scott Harmon, Rob Johnson, Patty Kobasic, Lisa Laczhazy, Laura Lynaugh, Joy Moran, Harold Olson, PJ Uhazie and Kathy Young.
There is no charge for the concert. A free-will offering will be collected to assist the group in purchasing new music and to pay for the expenses of putting on the concert.
The choral society is open to anyone who likes to sing and there are no auditions.
New members are welcome to join in September to prepare for the Christmas concert.
