MARQUETTE- Douglas and Susan Scott of Cornell, along with Keith and Cindy Kovar of Menominee, announce the engagement of their children Sarah Marie Scott and Jon Lucas Kovar, both of Marquette.
Sarah is a 2004 graduate of Escanaba Area High School and received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Northern Michigan University in 2009. She is employed as a kindergarten teacher by Marquette Area Public Schools.
Jon is a 2006 graduate of Menominee High School. He received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Northern in 2010 and is employed as a police officer for Northern Michigan University Public Safety.
