Why the delay in plowing road?

March 9, 2012

EDITOR:

I am writing in regard about the recent snow falls. We live on 16.5 Lane, which is in the Danforth area.

After Wednesday's (Feb. 29) snow fall we were plowed out around 1 p.m. Thursday. The county worker seemed afraid to drop his plow, and it isn't even passable in some spots if someone is coming from the opposite direction.

Now, here it is Sunday (March 4), after Friday's snow and our road still is not plowed. Driving around other subdivisions in our area on Saturday they were all plowed before noon, and also widened enough to pass by someone coming towards you. I would like to know why we are neglected so often.

It has been this way since we have lived on this road and I'm tired about talking about it so decided to write about it, and hope it won't fall on deaf ears.
