The budget process for Escanaba is currently going on and it is a golden opportunity to tell of the value the Bonifas Art Center is to the city of Escanaba.
What a magical place this is and this magic is made by the genuine support of the community as a whole and a small staff dedicated to the arts. The Bonifas provides employment to talented local people willing to share their abilities by teaching classes.
It provides entertainers the opportunity for performance. It supplements the limited school budget in its availability to youth, lighting the spark for appreciation and enjoyment of the arts for years to come.
Artists from throughout the U.P. and elsewhere come here to view the gallery exhibits and to participate in them dropping dollars throughout the community and leaving with the urge to spread the news of this gem of the north.
Support from the city underlines the importance of this facility to the area.
To the council, please continue the Bonifas line item in the new budget.
