This week's bouquets go to:
From the Marble Plus Knife Club:
"The Marble Plus Knife Club's 17th annual Cabin Fever Knife and Gun show was a big success. Organizers thank all who attended; volunteers, dealers, donors, and especially all the businesses and organizations. As a result of the show a total of $1,900 will be donated to the following organizations; Walk for Warmth, St. Vincent DePaul, Salvation Army, Alliance against Violence and Abuse, Northwoods Air Lifeline, Bay Cliff, and U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary (Manistique Flotilla). The checks will be distributed in the next few weeks."
From Jodi Carlson, Escanaba:
"Thank you so much to Heather at DATA dispatch office and the driver who found my purse. I left my purse on the bus again. I realized and panicked. But the driver brought the purse to the dispatch office. Heather called me at home and delivered the purse to me at home. I really appreciate your kindness to me. Thank you both so much."
From the Escanaba Orchestra:
"Thank you to all the people who donated their returnable cans/bottles to our drive last Saturday to raise money for our class trip. If we missed your house and you would still like to donate your returnable deposit cans/bottles call 906-399-2867 and we will gladly pick them up. Thank you for your donations."
Each Saturday the Daily Press salutes individuals and groups from our area who have had a very positive impact on the way we live.
We identify our bouquet recipients in one of two ways: from Daily Press news pages and from nominations sent in by our readers.
Mail us a postcard or letter identifying your nomination and putting into detail what they've done. Include your name, address, and phone number. Send nominations to Saturday Bouquets, The Daily Press, 600 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829.
They may also be sent to us by going to our Web site, www.dailypress.net, and clicking on the submit news button. Once there, click on "Bouquets" and follow the simple instructions.
