John LeFevre, 11, of Garden, bagged this 210-pound black bear on Oct. 9, while hunting on the Garden Peninsula with his father Jeff. A fifth-grader at Big Bay de Noc School, John is an avid hunter. He took a five-point buck during the youth hunt earlier this fall and also bagged a doe with his bow. With his good luck, John told his father that he wants to go after an elk tag next.
