MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Mary Elizabeth Roets and Joseph Richard Plouff exchanged wedding vows April 30 during a 2 p.m. ceremony that took place at St. Anthony Church in Milwaukee. The nuptials were celebrated by Bishop Donald J. Hying, Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Milwaukee, and concelebrated by Rev. Rick L. Courier, pastor of St. Anthony and St. Thomas Churches in Wells and Escanaba.
Following the ceremony, a reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at Klemmer's Banquet Center in Milwaukee.
The bride selected her sister, Lisa Roets, to serve as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were: Elizabeth Roets, sister of the bride; Amy Plouff, sister of the groom; and Kateri Taylor, a friend of the bride. The flower girl was Faye Muma, friend of the bride.

Standing as best man, was Christopher Charbonneau, a friend of the groom. Groomsmen were: Dick Anderson, grandfather of the groom; and Steve Luppi and Ryan Alexander, friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Jonah Trent, godson of the groom.
Mary is the daughter of Joe and Kathy Roets of Milwaukee and is a 2003 graduate of Brookfield Academy. Mary graduated with a bachelor's degree in mental health and human services and theology from Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio, and is currently attending Concordia University Wisconsin, where she is working on her master's degree in professional counseling. She is employed with the Wauwatosa School District. Grandparents are Bill and Mary Roets of Warner Robins, Ga., and Ann and the late Don Brook of Waukesha, Wis.
The son of Keith and Cyndee Plouff of Escanaba, Joe graduated in 2002 from Escanaba Area High School. He attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis. where he graduated with both a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's in accounting. He is employed at Ernst & Young, LLP, as a Advisory Senior in Milwaukee. Grandparents are Dick and Gladys Anderson of Wells.
The couple resides at their home in Milwaukee.
