ST. JOSEPH, Mich. - The Haindl family cottage on the shore of Indian Lake in the Upper Peninsula was the setting for the wedding ceremony for Lori Haindl and Jesus Torres. The couple exchanged vows on July 4.
Laura Torres, sister of the groom, and Salma and Salomon III Torres, niece and nephew of the groom, took part in the outdoor ceremony, along with Theresa Chartier, a friend of the wedding couple, and Salomon Torres, father of the groom. Vocal music was provided by Heidi VandenBurg, a friend of the bride, and Jason Haindl, brother of the bride.
The daughter of Jon and Gloria Haindl of Cooks, Lori is a graduate of Michigan State University where she was awarded a bachelor's degree in audiology and speech sciences, and two master's degrees - one in speech sciences and the other in business administration. She is a speech and language pathologist for the Ingham Intermediate School District.
Jesus and Lori Torres
Jesus is the son of Salomon and Elsy Torres of Lansing. He received both a bachelor's and master's degree in mechanical engineering, as well as a master's degree in business administration from Michigan State. He is a senior engineer-advanced development for the Whirlpool Corporation.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Torres are making their home in St. Joseph.
