RAPID RIVER - Samantha Marie Badgett and Eric Lawrence Galle were united in matrimony on May 28 in Rapid River. The ceremony was held at the Peninsula Point Lighthouse with Rev. Wayne Large officiating.
Samantha is the daughter of David and Gina Badgett of Rapid River. She graduated from Rapid River High School in 2002 and from Bay de Noc Community College in 2004. Samantha is currently employed as a patients account representative at Clay County Hospital in Flora, Ill.
Eric is the son of Tom and Lori Mysliwiec of New Lenox, Ill. He is a 2003 graduate of Lockport High School in Lockport, Ill., and is employed as the store manger at Walmart in Flora.

The bride selected her friend, Jennifer Tucker, and her sister, Chelsea Dalgord, to be her matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Angie and Ashley Mysliwiec, sisters of the groom, and Renee Adams, Katie Konwinski, Janna Deneau, all friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Selena Galle, niece of the groom., and flower girl was Jordyn Galle, niece of the groom.
The couple's golden retriever, Riley Rae, was the ring bearer and was walked down the aisle by Jessica Vejvoda, niece of the groom.
Best men were Brian Szwed, cousin of the bride and friend of the groom, and Daniel Pizzolato, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were: Ryan Galle and Gary Galle, brothers of the groom; Jack Badgett, brother of the bride; and Bret Hiller, Steve Daoud, and Alex Tucker, all friends of the groom.
Serving as ushers were Jace Dalgord, brother-in-law of the bride, and Johnny Thill, a friend of the groom.
A reception in honor of the newlyweds was held at the Stonington Community Hall in Rapid River. The newlyweds enjoyed a six-day honeymoon in Tahiti and Bora Bora.
The couple currently resides in Rinard, Ill.
