Walk for Warmth says thanks for all the support

March 19, 2011
Daily Press

This week's bouquets go to:

From Bill Dubord and Cathy Pearson, Community Action Agency:

"On behalf of the Community Action Agency we offer a heartfelt thank you to all of those who supported our 2011 Walk for Warmth campaign. The support came in many forms from donations of food, prizes, money, time and effort and by participating in the walk or buying a brat meal at our Big Brat Sale. To date we've raised just over $31,000 to help our Delta County neighbors with heat assistance. Again, we could not do this without all of the support we get from this generous community - so hats off to all who helped!"

From Pregnancy Services of Delta County:

"Pregnancy Services of Delta County is very grateful to St. Anne's Parish for hosting another beautiful community baby shower to help assist local families with needed baby items. Thank you to all the businesses and individuals who helped or made donations. Thanks also to all organizations and individuals for their continued support with donation of baby items and money and everyone who donated Super One slips. You are making a difference for many families with precious little babies! may God bless you all."

From Kathy Howard of Gladstone:

"I would like to thank Terry Ahola for getting the ball started on the ice rink in Gladstone this winter. There were many skaters on the ice every night enjoying the fresh air and exercise. Without Terry's efforts, nothing would have been done. Thanks again."

From Kim Carne, president Escanaba Area Figure Skating Club:

"A special thanks to all of the gorgeous and talented skaters in the Escanaba Area Figure Skating Club and Learn to Skate program who wowed nearly 1,000 fans during the season finale ice show "Skating with the STARS." I would also like to extend a special thanks to all the individuals, schools, organizations and businesses who helped. We could not do it without all of you! Thanks, you are the best. We hope more will join us next year for the skating fun and entertainment."

From LuAnn Lindquist:

"To all who participated in the making or collecting the Easter cards for our troops this month - I know it will make many soldiers feel the blessing of Easter from home. The cards were beautiful and so creative. Thank you too to those who aided in the delivery of these cards to the soldiers. God bless you all for your help. May Jesus Christ be praised. Romans 16:27."
