The Javenkoskis are the parents of four children - Burton Day Javenkoski of Sunrise, Ariz., Lorna Lynne Bewick of Rio Vista, Calif., and William Arthur and Mark Kevin Javenkoski, both of Escanaba. After the transfer, Carl became active in the Harnischfeger Engineers Club as program distribution for Hwy. 100. He was also active in the Gladstone Golf League and loved fishing and hunting until poor health caused him to discontinue these enjoyments.

Carl is currently a resident of the Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette where his wife visits him on a regular basis.
