WAKEFIELD - Four Gogebic County men were arrested on drug charges this weekend following police surveillance on an Ironwood residence, according to Michigan State Police from the Wakefield Post.
After receiving a tip about possible drug activity at the home, troopers conducted surveillance then stopped a vehicle for equipment violations. The traffic stop resulted in a seizure of prescription medications and the arrest of two Marenisco men, charged with drug and weapons violations.
After interviewing the two men, troopers secured a search warrant for the residence and seized narcotics and evidence of drug activity. Two men from Ironwood were arrested on drug charges. Ironwood Public Safety assisted troopers in the execution of the search warrant.
The four suspects were lodged in Gogebic County Jail, pending their court arraignments authorizing formal charges.
Investigation continues with additional arrests pending, according to troopers.
